Reflections of the Hawkesbury

In August 2019 I was asked to facilitate a mosaic for a community mental health group that met fortnightly in front of the Hawkesbury Regional Gallery and Library. To reflect the local area and the participants, I came up with the concept of a series of circular mosaics using the local Hawkesbury river as a central, linking motif surrounded by a patchwork of fields.

 

In all 57 people, aged from 10 years old to 96, made 68 mosaic sections.
