The Trace Memory series formed the basis of my solo exhibition in 2015. 

 

Many works referenced Australian animals which are either endangered or extinct, so remaining only in memory or representation.  I started with an origami model of the animal then unfolded it.   The mosaic was dictated by the unfolded origami shape and the colour choices reflected the colours of the original animal.
